1. General Molecular Biology

Our scientists use this method combined with expertise on phenotyping, genetics, microbiology, microscopy, ecology, pathology and bioinformatics to develop high quality fundamental research with applications.

2. Plant Molecular Breeding

Molecular breeding and tissue culture programs are operated in DSIR recognized 8,000 square feet lab facility of global standards. Our seeds are also tested.

Price per reaction-1 USD for SSR / SNP molecular marker for Tomato, Pepper, Rice, Cucumber price per reaction is 1.50 USD for SSR and SCAR marker & 2.00 USD for CAPS marker.

3. Seed production

Organic seed production is need of present scenario, where every person is concern with quality food. The most compelling reason of using organically produced product is, it has less chemical impact on environment. Breeding strategy for organic seed production is an important criterion to breed variety which suits in an eco-friendly cultivation of crops. Our farmers produce seed organically.

4. Tissue Culture Production

Development of hybrids depends upon the availability of homozygous parental lines in any crop species. In conventional breeding program homozygous lines are developed by repetitive self pollination for 6-8 generations which might take 3-4 years depending upon the crop species. Availability of optimised double haploid protocols circumvents this problem and homozygous parental lines could be developed in two generations within a year. We have successfully developed high throughput protocols for doubled haploid production in sweet and hot peppers. With a turnaround time of less than a year we could develop homozygous lines from a hybrid of customer’s choice. We are in the process of developing optimized protocols for haploid production of cucumbers.
